We were sailing towards Gibraltar (the gateway to the Mediterranean) waiting for the iconic Rock of Gibraltar to appear. A group of us on deck were discussing “this can’t be it,” it’s too small and nondescript. As we waited our initial thoughts disappeared as the classic “rock” appeared as we sailed around to the other side.

This can’t be the “rock of Gibraltar.”

This can’t be it either.

Nor this?

Finally!
A panorama of Gibraltar
This is a short collection of sea condition on the trip. Sometimes it was smooth and gentle a couple of times we were at sea for a whole day and the seas got up to 6 – 8 feet high hitting the ship from the side. So you night be one minute in bed and the next minute out of bed on the floor. Many of the passengers did not make it to dinner on these nights.
