We recently purchased a home in Hilo, HI up the hill with a 160 degree view of the ocean and overlooking the entire city. The house sits on a half an acre of curated botanical garden that probably includes one of every plant that grows in Hawaii. We have mangos, lemons, pineapples, avocados, lilikoi, dragon fruit, star fruit, and a hundred different types of palm trees, and flowering vines and bushes. Yes, it’s a handful keeping the garden clear of dead branches, but we are doing it. Janine has placed my art out on the garden trails for added color.
