Loveland, CO to Powell, WY proved to be more than I wanted to bite off. I rode twisty-turnys for days and I was ready for a full day of straight highway. It didn’t turn out that way. As I hit Interstate 80 in Cheyenne, 50 – 60 mph cross winds began and continued for the next eight hours. These winds kept me in 4th gear trying to stay on the road most of the way. Trucks were on their sides and no other bikes were on the road. I’ve had challenging riding experiences, but this day is on the top of that list.
