We thought we were going to do a little beach camping when we planned our trip to New Zealand. So we booked a camper with Motorhome Republic, they had LOTS OF NICE PHOTOS OF THE INSIDE AND OUSIDE OF THE Vans. We liked it, and liked the price. Then a day or so passed by and they write, “oh that van is not available, but here is something comparable”, and they sent us to Campervan Village. No photos available. I asked for some, didn’t get any. No other vans available in Auckland that we could find on any website.
We were expecting something like this as was sent to me with my name on it.
Here is what we got:
A homemade jigsaw cut plywood piece of shit.
The refrigerator was a ice chest.
The cooktop was a jet boil.
The toilet was sealed in a box and we were told not to use it.
We were expecting at least a Queen mattress.
We got 2 inch foam pad without sheets or blankets.
We were told to purchase our own bedding at a nearby store.
The directions to some of the vans features were in Chinese.
We returned van 3 or 4 days early with about 1/2 tank more gas
Price works out to $1823.00 US.
We never camped in the vehicle.
We contacted “Wickedcampers.com” and they weren’t nice at all.
We told them about all of the issues and said we were not happy.
We were told “happiness is subjective.”
