Bodega Bay is a couple hours north of San Francisco on the coast and we initially went there to go on an oyster tour consisting of an educational session, an oyster hunt in the bay, cooking lesson, and then lunch with the oysters we found. Unfortunately, our tour was cancelled as a result to COVID in the staff. We stopped by the Bodega Bay Oyster company for lunch and then on to the bay. Bodega Bay is in the middle to nowhere so our expectations were not that high on eating at the local pier restaurant that night. But, we were pleasantly surprised by the wine selection, fresh-caught pan-seared sea bass, and the best cioppino we have ever had. This bowl was filled to the brim with every sea creature you could think of, and topped with half a crab sticking out of the bowl. It looked ferocious, but we slowly devoured it.
