Dr. Scott Fredrickson has more than 45 years experience in higher education, the music industry, and as an entrepreneur. He holds degrees in Music Education from Cal-State University Fullerton and an MBA from Pepperdine University. His Doctorate is in Jazz Pedagogy and Music Business Administration from University of Northern Colorado. He has chaired numerous music business programs, and is the former President and Executive Director of the Music & Entertainment Industry Educators Association, a co-chair of the Arts & Entertainment Cluster of the New Orleans Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a Fellow in the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute. He is a member of ASCAP, and his compositions and arrangements have been heard on local and national radio and TV and are performed regularly in many countries. He has worked as a composer, arranger, director, and performer at theme parks, dinner theaters and corporate shows as a trombone and keyboard player. In addition, he has produced a variety of commercial projects and has engineered numerous albums of jazz and choral music. His Scat Singing Method has been a top choice on Amazon for years, and his Popular Choral Handbook has been received enthusiastically by choral directors world-wide. His articles on choral techniques have appeared in national educational journals and magazines. 

Dr. Fredrickson is also an artist, digital archivist, and designer of laser-cut jigsaw puzzles. His paintings and sculptures have been shown in galleries in New Orleans, Anchorage, AK, and Southern California. His jigsaw puzzles have been featured in international publications including Popular Science and Samsung magazines. Scott has also designed custom puzzles for corporate clients including the Colbert Report TV show.

Dr. Fredrickson has won multiple awards and achievements as a professor, including professor of the year. He currently is Professor of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, CA.
