The New Mexico Museum of Space History in Alamogordo, NM is a small but feisty museum. It is perched on a hillside overlooking the city and the White Sands Missile Test Site. The view of the desert valley from the museum was extraordinary. The museum houses a small yet broad-based collection of many of the items used at White Sands in the early years of the space program, plus test versions of many other space vehicles.
