Had the chance to visit the largest Buddhist temple in the western states while I was visiting the Los Angeles area. This temple is in Hacienda Heights, CA and serves a large population of Asians. Services were being held while we were there so we watched the devoted march around chanting between the pews of their temple. The grounds were calm and introspective and made you want to sit and get away from all of the troubles in the world. Maybe that’s what this Buddhist thing is all about.
