Slovenia is one of the secret places in Eastern Europe that the world has not found. It is beautiful with mountains and valleys plus lovely people and great food. The capitol city Ljubljana has a gorgeous history with cobblestone streets plus a great river running though it. Janine and I have been there before and were looking forward to another wonderful time.
Here is where Slovenia is:
Lake Bled is a short drive from Ljubljana into the gorgeous mountain area. It is a favorite tourist location and its was quite full this time we visited.
We were having dinner along the river that runs through Ljubljana when a marching band suddenly appeared on the other side of the river. It marched away and a few minutes later another marching band appeared on our side of the river and marched by our table. The bands then switched sides of the river and did it all again.
This fun band entertained on a major street corner in Ljubljana so we stopped and enjoyed them for a while. Great Slavic music performances from a bunch of young guys.
