1832-Bear Viewing, AK

I have always wanted to go to a bear viewing site. We scheduled a trip to Wrangell, AK to visit Anan Creek. We began with an hour jet boat ride from Wrangell all the way around the island to a narrow back channel. Only sixty persons per day are allowed to visit the bear viewing blind. This is to not stress the bear.

We were the first tourists to the site and had an entire hour using any of the three levels in the blind.

Standard fishing along with the belly-flop bear.
These two bear do not like each other. Watch them face-off then steal a fish from the other, and get bit in the butt.
The brown bear is the Apex predator in the bear world. When he enters the fishing arena all of the black bear scuttle away. This brown bear swaggers through the prime area and then on to greater territory.
