1720-Vivier – FR

Vivier is a tiny village on the shore of the Rhone River and was one of our stops. We had a walking tour of the ancient town that dates back to the 12th century. The warren of narrow streets weaves through an impressive collection of 16th century buildings and preserved antiquities. Much of the old section of the town is as it was and cannot be updated by French law. People must have been only five feet tall back in the day, since doors and openings were almost like being in hobbit country. A 6 foot 2 inch beast from America just aint’ gonna fit in this town.

This is a wedge of swans. We were just in Bodega Bay, CA where the movie “The Birds”
was filmed so I was on the look for the attack
