1705-San Francisco – CA

San Francisco has been one of our favorite cities to visit. We have always had wonderful times and experienced amazing food. But, downtown San Francisco has taken a turn for the worse. The homeless situation, drug addicts, beggars, needles and syringes on the street along with the trash and many streets smelling like urine is not a pleasant time. Many of the young workers have left the city as a result of COVID and are doing their jobs as digital nomads in cheaper sites. The streets were empty and it was disturbing. We rode the metro into the city from the San Jose area in an empty train car both ways. Some of our favorite restaurants were still closed as a result of COVID. Even the Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf were sparsely populated with tourists. But, we did fall into an amazing new Moroccan restaurant. Check out out.
