Baldwin beach is on the island of Maui near the city of Paia. It’s a drive-up beach with broad white sand surrounded by a forest of greens and palm trees. Underneath the trees were numerous memorials to friends who either died at this beach (the ocean can get furious along this coast for the wind surfers) or this was their favorite spot. It was quieting reading the attached stories, photos, and articles on each memorial. Most of these people were young and I hope went out doing what they loved best.
