This was not a cruise ship but a real sailing vessel. Each night after dinner, heroic music would begin playing loudly over the ship PA system (Vangelis pf course). That was our cue to get up top and watch the setting of the sails. As the crew shifted the hydraulic levers to trim the larger sails, hand crews pulled lines for a total of 42 sails. With the wind at her back and all sails furled, the ship would start bucking into the sea with a slow soothing ride. A couple three-four drinks later you were ready to do some pirate things.
