The Crocker Museum in Sacramento features a broad array of paintings and sculpture from all periods from around the world. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this museum and it’s worth a stop if you visit Sacramento. Half of the museum is housed in a one hundred fifty year old mansion connected to a modern style museum. It was worth it walking through the modern into the vintage. Here are photos of the old mansion and of how people lived during the gold rush period in California’s history. Following that are some of my favorite color, shape, and texture paintings in the collection.

A fancy way to live many years ago.
