Olympia was a great stop on my way to the wild Northwest. I stayed a couple of night with my friends Mike and Linda Dexter. Mike and I go back to my musical director days at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA in the early 1970s. Mike and I have stayed in touch and it was great seeing him and Linda.
Mike and I toured Olympia a little and stopped by the old Olympia beer factory in Tumwater. The beer is no longer made here but there is a wonderful park and wild river where the slogan “It’s the water” came from.
I also had one of the best massages I have ever had. After ten days of riding and had an hour and a half rub a dub that fixed all of my aches and pains.
