Janine and I were in Las Vegas, NV and were attempting to get to Palm Springs, CA. After looking at the map, we decided there is no easy way to get there. So we decided to drive direct and headed off across the Mohave Desert for a 5 hour trip. The drive was beautiful, temperature was 85 and we had the windows down all the way. Two-lane highways along old Route 66 through spit-in-the-road towns speeding through the middle of nowhere.
