The airport in Dubai is completely over the top in architecture as well as competence. No Visa required to get into the Emirates and I was through passport control in under ten minutes with reasonably happy border guards. Try getting that in the US border. The airport is like Las Vegas. I kept looking for the slot machines and craps tables as I walked through to get my luggage.
