Outside Taos, NM are a collection of futuristic homes that have been designed to be energy independent, environmentally conscious, and self sufficient. They are built out of recycled materials, produce their own power, recycle their own water, and heat and cool themselves for free. We took a little tour and walked around one of these homes. The house was as modern as any you would live in and was environmentally neutral. Others in the area looked as if they were on another planet. They are a wonderful idea for future living.
