Two years ago when I rode my motorcycle up the West coast to Alaska, I came to the intersection at Meziadin Junction. To the left it said Stewart, BC & Hyder, AK. To the right it said Watson Lake, YT. I had been on the road for about two weeks and was jonesing for home. I didn’t turn to the left. For the next week at every stop talking with other bikers, they all asked me if I went to Stewart. They said the canyon was beautiful and was worth the ride. For two years I thought about this turn (and because I wanted to go to Hyder, AK and get “hyderized”) I made it this time. The ride through the canyon was stunning and Stewart is like an Alpine village at the base of the mountains. I hope the photos and video do it justice.
